Muslim Community Soccer League (MCSL) is a project initiated by MUNA Youth’s South Jersey Chapter brothers in order to promote physical well-being of the Muslim youth, display their talents and abilities, and create an environment where they can network with other young Muslims who share their passion and interests. The initiative is being co-sponsored by GCLEA.
The soccer league is limited to the Greater Philadelphia region for now. Teams consist of 8 players on each side with a games being played 6 on 6 or 5 on 5. There are 6 teams on the 2015 season: Ar-Ra’d, Al-Ghuraba, The Messengers, The Muslim Knight Riders, Muslims United, and Buraq. The first season started on May 2015 and is expected to finish in September.
